Dublin House Extension No. 1
David Doyle Architects were appointed to take an existing semi-detached dwelling from the 1980's and bring up to a modern standard along with a contemporary style extension to provide extra open plan living, kitchen, dining and workspace with an ensuite and walk-in wardrobe at first floor level. The existing house was fully refurbished with new windows through-out, while the new extension was made in simple clena lines and a large folding door system to the rear to connect the house to the decking and garden. The design is simple and clear while attempting to utilise as much internal floor area as possible and trying to bring natural light deep into the plan.
